You will require the two cup maida or plain flour. Besides, you will also require one-fourth cup of the wheat flour. Besides these, you’ll need 2 tbsp oil 1 tbsp and 1 cup milk.

Step 1: First of all, in a large bowl or the wide rim plate, you have to take two cups of the whole wheat flour and 3 tbsp of the all-purpose flour maida. Then, you have to add 1.5 teaspoon salt or as per your requirement.
Step 2: Now you have to add 1.25 or 1.5 cups of water in parts or intervals as per your needs.
Step 3: Now start mixing the ingredients and begin needing it.
Step 4: Keep adding water in parts for kneading it to the slightly sticky dough.
Step 5: Now you have to cover the dough with the moist cotton muslin or napkin. Keep it aside for around 30 minutes.
Step 6: Just after 30 minutes, you have to again need the dough properly.
Step 7: Now compress for rolling rumali Roti. For that, you have to make the medium-sized balls from the dough and cover it with the moist cotton napkin and keep it aside for some time.
Step 8: Now take a small bowl and then sprinkle some wheat flour all over it.

Step 10: While rolling, you have to keep on sprinkling the flour evenly all over so that it becomes a bit sticky. Now, you have to keep on rolling the rotis into 11 or 12 inches diameter. However, over time do not add too much flour when it is rolling. You have to just sprinkle enough which will help you in the rolling process. In case you add a lot of flour for covering the rotis, then they become hard. You have to roll its thin and slightly make it transparent. Also remember to keep on rolling it evenly while keeping the edges thin. in case you see that they are becoming thick.
Step 11: For making the rumali Roti on the Tawa or Kadai, you have to use the concave Kadai with the long handle. It is suggested to have the handle on the tawa. Step 12: Now you have to sprinkle some flour on the tawa. In case you see that it is becoming golden, then the temperature is perfect.
